TV Interview of My Life’s Journey – Wed 8 pm for Toronto

I had the privilege of being interviewed to have my life showcased on a TV series called Success Stories With Dr Karyn. It airs seven times between October 27th and November 3rd on RogersTV. If you are a Rogers cable customer you will be able to access the series.

I haven’t seen it yet, and I must admit I’m very excited, but a little scared! Some moments for me were very emotional during the interview. I’ve had many issues in my life to tackle and I hope that my transparency, in some way, helps others to understand that often the rockiest roads can be conquered.

Here is the  caption on the series.

SUCCESS STORIES With Dr. Karyn, is an inspiring TV series that showcases the compelling interviews of Industry Leaders (NHL, NBA and CEO’s) about their life’s journey from childhood through to their successful career. These are empowering stories of opportunities, obstacles and triumphs, with powerful lessons for each of us as we navigate our own lives and careers.

Here is the link to the Rogers TV Success Stories programming guide for Toronto. Outside of Toronto be sure to first click on your area at the top right of the page. I’ll look into getting access to the show for all the nonRogers customers out there!

“I need school supplies… lists… lunch materials…I need to purge kid’s clothing…out with shorts and in with pants or leggings!”

While this time of year can be overwhelming, North America’s favourite family dinner expert and International best selling author, Sandi Richard, has expert tips on how she managed back to school with her seven (yup, that’s correct) kids! Her advice to parents is simple. You are in the driver’s seat and if you commandeer a few little tricks — you’ve got this!

1. Get organized!

If you want to be more organized allow your kids to do the same by giving them a task or two they can own. This not only frees up a parent’s time for other things, but also, and more importantly, opens up the opportunity for positive reinforcement within the family. “High five,” “Great job,” — words of affirmation mean kids thrive! When kids thrive, the house is calmer, when the house is calmer even the hardest tasks seem much easier to handle. Do you see where I’m going with all this?  Continue reading 8 Tips for Parents to Conquer Back To School
